Arizona Move
I plan to move to Arizona sometime this year.
In order to do so, I have to sell my house. The woodstove created lots of smoke damage.
On June 10, I signed a contract on to have all ceilings and walls painted by an independent painter named Thad. He has a helper named Silver.
In the meantime, I have been selling things and giving things away. My favorite place is the 7th Day Advententist Church. They give things to needy people.
I have also been packing many items.
The painters started on July 31. All furniture was put in middle of rooms & blinds taken down. By August 9, everything all walls & ceilings have been painted. The bedrooms & bathrooms have been put back together.
They sanded all the kitchen cabinets & they are now being painted. It rained last night so they are painting in the garage.
I had the gutters replaced.
I listed the house with a realtor lady. After 3 months she did not bring a buyer. I listed with another agency & 2 sisters. The house sold in May 2007.
I sold the master bedroom set at a very low price. The living & dining room furniture was donated to Habitat for Humanity. I posted the family room furniture at Frecycle on the internet & within a day the furniture was taken.
I got a truck from Penske & loaded it.
The closing date for house was May 3. On May 4 my son took off in truck for Arizona pulling my
car. On May 5 I flew down. He had already arrived.
I am staying with another son & his family until I buy a home. On my first Sunday in AZ there was a gettogether at their house. On Mother's Day there was a nice family dinner at DIL's mother's house. On Sunday of Memorial Day there was a pool party at a relatives home.
Since arriving in AZ I have spent many hours with 2 realtors looking at homes. A couple of them are interesting, but I am continuing to look.
